The designed public garage, with its clear and rational form, establishes a strong contrast with the surrounding buildings of diverse purposes and structures. Located within the densely built urban fabric of Bar, it responds to a simple yet essential need of the area: the need for functional infrastructure that organizes circulation and relieves public spaces.
In addition to meeting parking requirements and incorporating part of a commercial facility, the project is enriched with a “vertical park” of 106 trees integrated into the façade structure, as well as sports and hospitality amenities on the garage roof. The greenery on the façades represents a particular quality, as it is visible from the surrounding residential buildings and from the market side. In this way, what was once an unused void becomes an active and recognizable segment of the environment.
The building integrates the needs of all users within the residential surroundings, while simultaneously addressing parking, introducing green areas, and creating spaces for gathering and various activities. Instead of fragmented, separate solutions, the site is organized as a unified whole in which infrastructural and social functions complement one another. In this way, the parcel is transformed into a building “for all” — a place that responds to the everyday needs of its surrounding community.
