With a length of about 150m and an area of approx. 2620.00m2, the planned reconstruction of the city’s main street presents a pedestrian promenade of the city, freed from vehicular traffic to the extent possible. The arrangement of the future pedestrian street is based on the idea of preserving and transposing a recognizable element of cultural heritage characteristic of this area – the carpet. The tiling is therefore solved as a combination of geometric shapes that, with their color and arrangement, are associated with walking on a carpet. The changing color of the treetops (from green to red) together with the proposed paving of granite slabs is in harmony with the surrounding natural environment throughout all seasons. The wedge-shaped expansion of the future pedestrian promenade offers the chance to form a town square in the area in front of the municipality building and the mosque building. The views towards the municipality and the mosque are preserved and emphasized by providing a vertical minaret.
